Welcome back to another Open Book Blog Hop!
What are you working on right now?
Remember to visit my fellow writers to see what they have created. You can find their work here!

I think this one depends on how you look at it. In the slush pile of things I’ve started writing, put down and not returned to in a long time, I’ve got quite a bit. I’ve got the fabled third book in my steampunk series. There’s my Christmas serial killer book that I’ve not touched in ages. And then there’s my thriller told entirely through text messages.
I’ve been in a bit of a different space with my writing of late. My most recent work is a short story collection. I’ve been taking it slowand not pressuring myself to get it done, I’m just enjoying the process. I’ve got 1 story done and a second on the go. Early feedback on the first story is positive.
It’s themed around the idea of liminal spaces, which fascinate me. Imagine long, empty corridors or wide, unpopulated spaces. They can be equal parts cosy, comforting or unsettling. I’m spinning the concept and applying it to emotions and feelings. Hopefully it works, but I love the idea.
I understand completely, I’ve been taking it slowly myself. Having said that, I’m looking forward to the short stories, and the Steampunk. And the text message story.

I only write when I feel like it. Sometimes I write nothing for weeks, then get an idea and become motivated. It works for me. I only write for a hobby.

This. I used to stress over sales, page reads, etc. Not got the time or space for that, so now I just write when the mood strikes.

Yes, it can feel like a well-eared reward taking time to enjoy the act of writing.
