Welcome back to another Open Book Blog Hop!
Have you learned anything new this week (or recently?) Any topic.
Remember to visit my fellow writers to see what they have created. You can find their work here!

I don’t know whether everyone would consider this as “recent”, but I guess the beauty of a concept like that is that it’s down to individual perception. Back in the middle of January, I moved jobs into a new role. It’s more the kind of work I’ve been wanting to do. It taught me not to stress the small stuff. I made things like writing a task to be done. I had to make some sort of progress in writing every single month. Now I’ve learned that if I’m not enjoying it, why do it? I’m certainly not earning the big bucks from my writing, so that’s not even a factor. Now I write if I want to, when I want to. It may only be a few lines here or there, but I really enjoy it so much more now! And I’ll keep writing this way now, I think. A book will take me much longer to actually finish now, but I’ll enjoy it so much more.
Spot on, I’ve become overwhelmed with trying to market, at the expense of writing. It’s time for a break.

I just need to get back to writing because I want to, really.

Amen to that! I live by this rule, and sometimes during the summer I do no writing at all because I’m enjoying life with Sam in our caravan on the Isle of Wight instead.

I try to write a little every day. Even if it’s only a sentence or two. It can be hard when you consider all the other factors adding pressure in my life.
