Which of the senses is the hardest for you to include in your writing?
Remember to visit my fellow writers to see what they have created. You can find their work here!

I generally don’t struggle too much with four out of the five senses in terms of writing and describing them. The other tests me from time to time. Hearing. It can be brutal to work with. I often stop for long periods as I consider how I want to describe a sound. I also wonder whether the way I describe a sound will be how another person perceives it. Sometimes I don’t even know where to begin trying to describe a sound, and I spend hours down the rabbit hole trying to dig into how a sound sounds. It’s something that really gets my brain thinking.
I get that, hearing and taste are my biggest challenges.

No problem with sight or hearing. For me it’s smell. But you are right about trying to describe sounds in a way that put readers into the scene. It’s not the hearing that is the problem, but the description.
