There are quite a few options for this; the gentle, hushed sussuration of pages turning; the whispering of wind through the trees; the rhythmic lapping of waves on the beach. But for me, this one is an easy win.

Rainstorms. From the gentle patter of isolated raindrops on glass to the beating deluge of a downpour on the roof of my pergola as I sit outside – it’s so comforting. Throw in a stunning display of forked lightning and the deep rumble of thunder, and I’m at my most relaxed. Nothing comes close.
