Welcome back to another Open Book Blog Hop!
What is your favourite way to waste time? Bird watching? Long walks? Does it help your writing?
Remember to visit my fellow writers to see what they have created. You can find their works here!

This one is tough. Not in terms of what I do, but the idea that these things are wastes of time. Certainly they might be to others, but I think all diversions for our attention are beneficial, and in some ways productive.
For me my main ones would be building LEGO, playing video games and reading. You can include travelling/holidays in there, too. You see, these non-productive diversions really help me stay in a good place. They’re a great distraction from the real world, while keeping my mind working. And in some of them, they can help inspire ideas for future writing, so they are definitely beneficial!
Sometimes, getting away from the deliberate act of trying to create is where the real magic happens. Distraction can be the mother of inspiration.

I think we all need to be non-productive at times in order to re-charge our batteries.

I’ve never gotten into Legos but some of the models are amazing

Non-productive sounds better to me than “wasting” time. That’s how it feels when I’m recharging. @samanthabwriter from Balancing Act
