Welcome back to another Open Book Blog Hop!
Today’s topic is: If you had to become one of your characters, which one would you choose?
Remember to visit my fellow writers to see what they have created. You can find their works here!

I’m going to start this week’s Open Book Blog Hop by saying that I genuinely believe every character we write carries part of us within them. How can they not? We create them and make them up – that means that inherently they will take elements from our own personalities.
With that being said, I think most writers, particularly those who have written a series, will have one or two characters we identify with more than others. For me, it’s Edison Crow. He comes across as confident, self-assured and a touch cocky, but underneath that, there is a lot more to him. He suffers from self-doubt, almost like imposter syndrome. Something I can identify with. But I also love his determination to improve his position and do the best he can for himself and those around him.
Oh yes, I could see you in full Steampunk regalia.

I’d be happy with that, even if I might get a strange look or two for it!

Yes, I think you’re right in that we add a little part of ourselves in when we create a character.

I get asked that a lot with my Menopausal Superheroes series: which ones is most like you? And I’m like…to some extent, all of them! @samanthabwriter from Balancing Act

I think all of us on this hop suffer from imposter syndrome.

I wonder if that tad of doubt keeps us pushing forward. I could use more motivation, less doubt, though!
