Welcome back to another Open Book Blog Hop!
Today’s topic is: What’s the biggest problem you have in your writing right now?
And remember to visit my fellow writers to see what they have come up with. You can find their works here!

This week’s topic has a very simple answer for me this week: time. I’ve mentioned it more than once, but I wish I had more time. I work full time. Sadly, much as I wish it did, my writing does not pay well at all. I could not even consider giving up work to focus on my writing. And yet I wish I could.
And then, beyond writing, I have quite a number of other hobbies. Lego and video games are just two of those hobbies. These also take a lot of my time. Throw in other pursuits and activities, holidays, day trips and time spent with my wife, and my time rapidly dwindles.
In an ideal world, I would love to be able to dedicate hours of each day just to writing, it would be an absolute dream come true. But as it’s not an option, I make do with what time I have available to me, and making sure my writing never feels like a chore.
When I retired, I thought I would have more time for all sorts of things, writing included. Now, I know better.

My father used to complain that he was busier after retiring than before!

Time is definitely part of my struggle, too. I’m also a writer-with-a-day-job, so I stuff it all (writing, editing, marketing, networking) into roughly an hour a day, maybe 2 hours if I’m lucky, and occasional snatches of larger swaths of time. @samanthabwriter from
