Welcome back to another Open Book Blog Hop!
Name one thing that a writer should never do.
Remember to visit my fellow writers to see what they have created. You can find their work here!

There are plenty of things I could put down for this one. I’ve learnt a fair few of them from making mistakes myself. I think, though, the one thing I’m going to say is don’t rush. If you set yourself too many timed milestones, your writing will suffer. The pacing will feel rushed, and the descriptive writing will too. I write better when I don’t paint myself into a corner time-wise. If you rush, you’ll also find yourself writing when you really aren’t in the mood but feel like you have to. It won’t be your best writing, and you’ll wish you’d actually waited for a better time. Now, I’d rather take longer breaks from writing to make sure I’m in the right headspace to enjoy my writing.
The story won’t come until it’s ready, and no amount of rushing or sitting staring at a screen will change that. Having said that, once I get the inspiration, I can’t type fast enough to keep up.

I agree! It’s why I’ve not really written much at all of late. My brain has been too busy and full to settle down and write, but it will come soon I’m sure!
