Welcome back to another Open Book Blog Hop!
How much of yourself do you share with your readers? How much do you hide?
Remember to visit my fellow writers to see what they have created. You can find their works here!

This is a really interesting question. Obviously, there are bits of me littered throughout my books. Afterall, they always say that we, as writers, leave bits of ourselves in our stories and our characters. But I think we’re talking differently here. How open are we as authors with our readers?
Well, I do monthly updates on my website, where I discuss what I’ve been reading, watching and playing, live gigs and shows I’ve been to, and any travelling I’ve done. It’s all part of letting readers, established and prospective, see the person behind the writing. That being said, I don’t blog, post and Thread every little detail of my life – good, bad and ugly. Some things just don’t need to be shared. I do believe there is an expectation from some parts of the internet that, in a digital, always-on world, they should have access to everything. I don’t think I’d enjoy fame in that regard, as it always seems like someone feels that celebrities should expect it as part of the job. No thanks.
I’m with you. I used to post a lot more about my life than I do now, until I realised that nobody was really interested. I prefer to remain an enigma.

I get this, I don’t find myself particularly interesting when I try to view myself “from the outside” so I just keep quiet! 🙂

Yes, I think we all share bits of ourselves in our writing, but only the bits we don’t mind other people reading.
