Autumn and winter are my two favourite seasons of the year. With autumn, I look forward to cooler days and the turning of the leaves. Though not as big in the UK as across the pond, autumn is also home to my second favourite holiday – Halloween. I love the decorations. And the films, settling in, turning the lights down low and watching an overly graphic and needlessly violent horror film. From classics like Halloween and The Shining to modern masterpieces like The Terrifier, I cannot get enough of them. It’s almost as wonderful as Christmas.

Oh, and one more thing – pumpkin spice lattes. I live for them this time of year!

  1. I love autumn and I must find something useful in winter to live here, but I’m not a huge fan of graphic horror films. The ones I like is where the horror is subtle. The Haunting of Hill House was fascinating. The Fall of the House of Usher made me not watch past the second episode. Way too graphic for me.

My favorite holiday is Thanksgiving, which I believe is a winter holiday because it falls in November and it’s truly WINTER here in Alaska by November. Same basic decorations as Halloween without the ghouls.
