Welcome back to another Open Book Blog Hop!
Which would you rather have? Money or Fame?

Money. No hesitation or question about it. Not because I’m greedy or capitalistic, but because fame does nothing for me. The idea of losing your privacy and freedom because you will always be noticed, everywhere you go. I’m just not the kind of person who would enjoy that sort of attention – I’d be much happier flying under the radar.
Money, on the other hand, would always be welcome. I’d be able to help people out and give some to charity. And, yes, make my life more comfortable. Pay off the mortgage, indulge in hobbies and passions more freely, and, if it is a substantial enough sum, give up work to enjoy those pursuits.
I’m with you on the fame thing, I’d hate the loss of privacy and the possibility of stalkers or other assorted obsessives frightens me.

Getting mobbed in the street fills me with horror. Yes, I’m with you in that I’d prefer money with no fame.

I’d rather have the money as well. Not only would it make my life more comfortable, I could help others as well.

My choice too. If my books could be well-known without me becoming recognizable to the general public — yeah, I’d be down with that. And I think a bit of fortune could do that. I imagine a good advertising budget would promote the books without me having to publish my real name. This blog hop assignment came in right as I was determining I a) need a newer used car before this coming winter; and b) I can’t afford to take a mission trip to Peru, so it definitely got me thinking about priorities.

It’s gotta be unreal, unnerving, to be famous. I don’t think I’d like it. If it were all positive, that would be okay, but nothing is ever that free of consequence. Seeing behavior in comments on social media often gives me anxiety, and they’re not even my posts!
