Welcome back to another Open Book Blog Hop!
Today’s topic is: Do you envision a particular reader when you’re crafting your stories?
And remember to visit my fellow writers to see what they have come up with. You can find their works here!

If I was being candid about my writing – I’d have to say that I don’t write to or for an audience. All of my stories – novels, flash fiction or short stories – are written for me. I’d be over the moon if anyone wants to read my books or stories, but that’s not who or why I write them.
I have these ideas that float around in my mind – at the moment more than I have time to write. But I will write them. Not for a specific person or group of people, but for me. Because they are all ideas I like, and I want to see what they look like as a fully-fledged story. They’re kind of the things I’d want to read. So I guess ultimately, I write for myself.
I’m with you there, I write for my own amusement, to develop the ideas that ping around in my head.

I think we self-publishers all have the same idea. We write to please ourselves.

As much as we like to write for ourselves, we all hope that we will find other people who like the stories we share.

it has to start with us. I know if the idea doesn’t move me, I’m not going to put energy into it! All we can hope is that someone shares in the appeal.
