Open Book Blog Hop – Time for a holiday

Welcome back to another Open Book Blog Hop!

Today’s topic is: What are your favourite vacation spots and do they ever show up in your books?

And remember to visit my fellow writers to see what they have come up with. You can find their works here!

The second half of this week’s question is going to receive a short and sweet answer. No, they don’t. As I’ve mentioned before my books are set in a completely fictitious world, so I’ve not visited them. That said, La Ville de Cuivre in Chasing Shadows is loosely based on New Orleans, a city I’ve always wanted to visit.

As for favourite holiday destinations, I’ve been fortunate to visit a fair few places that I’ve fallen in love with. Orlando in Florida for one – I’m a huge fan of Disney and the theme parks. San Francisco is an incredible city. And in Europe, there’s Vienna and Florence, Milan and Prague that all rank highly on my list.

I’ve been a fair few times, though not since the Avatar and Star Wars additions. It was always getting busier each time we went.
