Welcome back to another Open Book Blog Hop!
Looking back at the COVID years, did that time impact your current writing?
Remember to visit my fellow writers to see what they have created. You can find their works here!

I did find that the period of time, which seems so long ago, those isolated COVID years starting in 2020. Here in the UK, we underwent some strict restrictions that meant no working unless it was from home or deemed essential. No school. No gatherings or holidays. Life became remote, and it seemed like the whole world shut down. I actually remember how odd it seemed to see so few aircraft criss-crossing the sky.
So I wrote. If I’m being entirely honest, I actually started writing in 2019. I had an idea, and decided in November of that year to try and get some words down on paper every day of the month. This was achieved successfully and continued through 2020. Though I wouldn’t say that COVID directly affected what I was writing about, or the style of my writing, it affected it nonetheless.
With nowhere to go and nothing to do, it gave me a new well of spare time to play with. This led me to write more than ever. If I’m being entirely honest, if it wasn’t for those enforced lockdowns, I’m not entirely sure if Chasing Shadows would ever have been written.
