Welcome back to another Open Book Blog Hop!
Today’s topic is: If your book had a soundtrack, what would be on it?
And remember to visit my fellow writers to see what they have come up with. You can find their works here!

I don’t as such have a soundtrack in mind for my books. That being said, I often listen to music when writing, so I suppose in its own way that is the soundtrack. It’s a bit more intuitive than just chucking on The Rolling Stones or AC/DC and calling that the soundtrack. That said – The Twelve Days of Christmas does feature both of those, as the main character has their songs as the alarm tone on his phone.
Talking of The Twelve Days of Christmas – as far as a true soundtrack goes, I’ve been listening to discordant, off-key Christmas songs. They sound wrong, ominous and dark. Perfect for the story.
As for The Chronicle of the Crows steampunk series – I discovered some steampunk-inspired music online, which has been inspirational. It really puts me in my books and helps me write them. One particular artist in this space is Luis Humanoide. You can find one of his pieces below as an example.
I like this. I haven’t heard anything by Luis Humanoide before.

Interesting music. I can see it playing in the background as I concentrated on something totally different.
