Welcome back to another Open Book Blog Hop!
Today’s topic is: Do you have any favourite quotes about writing?
And remember to visit my fellow writers to see what they have come up with. You can find their works here!

I won’t beat about the bush this week, as there are so many incredible quotes about books and writing. I’ll just dive in with some of my favourites.
“Formula: 2nd Draft = 1st Draft – 10%. Good luck” – Stephen King
“The first draft is just you telling yourself the story” – Sir Terry Pratchett
“You can’t wait for inspiration. You have to go after it with a club” – Jack London
“First, find out what your hero wants, then just follow him” – Ray Bradbury
“If you want to be a writer, you must do two things above all others: read a lot and write a lot” – Stephen King
“I love deadlines. I love the whooshing noise they make as they go by” – Douglas Adams
Writing is a wonderful pursuit, but there are so many elements to it that it can be challenging. All of these quotes, and so many more really typify what it is to write for me.
Some great quotes there, Steven.

The read a lot and write a lot is a good one.

It’s one that’s stuck with me for years. I definitely think if you don’t read then writing will always be a struggle.
