We don’t have too many independent bookshops around here. We have one that has been around a while, but has lost the personal touch over the years. There are a few second hand shops, too, but not much. Other than that, my options are limited to chain stores or online. Many struggle to compete with the aggressive pricing of the likes of Amazon, but given the chance, I’d love to wander around more of the small, indy stores. I try to visit when I’m on holidays if I see them, and love to visit old libraries too.
