Welcome back to another Open Book Blog Hop!
Today’s topic is: What does the food your characters eat reveal about their personality?
And remember to visit my fellow writers to see what they have come up with. You can find their works here!

I’m going to be entirely honest on this one – it’s going to be a short one this week. Food can be pretty important in some stories. Within my work, at least so far to date, it plays no major part. The nearest we get is when Crow and Selah enjoy a top-notch meal on the train from the Republic to the Free States. They relished in the incredible spread they found before them. Prior to that, food for the entire crew was merely a means of sustaining them. A basic necessity that they needed to survive. Who knows, maybe it’ll play a bigger role in future works.
I love using food to add atmosphere to my novels, I think that you can tell a lot about a place by what is available and how it’s consumed.
