Welcome back to another Open Book Blog Hop!
Today’s topic is: What TV show, Movie, or book do you binge/return to/re-watch the most?
And remember to visit my fellow writers to see what they have come up with. You can find their works here!

Wow, what a doozy of a question this week! I’ll start with TV. There isn’t a lot of TV that I rewatch. Often it dates itself quite badly – Friends being a huge example. It can become irrelevant and outdated too quickly. That said, the sort of things I watch the most are some of the old British classics. Dad’s Army, Fawlty Towers and then there is the absolute genius that is Monty Python’s Flying Circus.
Now for movies. Most Christmas films get a rewatch in my house, I love Christmas films are a staple every year. Certain films always come out: The Muppet’s Christmas Carol, Home Alone 1 and 2 and of course the best Christmas film ever made: Die Hard. “Welcome to the party, pal!” Festive flicks aside, The Life of Brian and The Holy Grail are two films I watch a lot, alongside the two Ace Ventura films. And then there is my all-time favourite – The Nightmare Before Christmas. That is probably my most-watched film. A film I would say I know most if not all of the words to.
And finally, books. Every year I read A Christmas Carol. Though the language is dated, it’s a magical read that always fills me with festive cheer. That aside, I’d have to say it’s something by Stephen King. IT, The Shining and The Green Mile are probably the biggest repeat offenders, but I do reread a few others – The Stand and The Dark Tower series being high on that list. He is probably the author I return to, who never fails to immerse me in his work no matter how many times I’ve read his stuff.
It’s strange how shows have aged. Some seem so strange, while others remain fresh and relevant.

I think it’s why I love things like Monty Python. No matter how old it is, it didn’t rely on current events to make it funny.

I’m sure someone out there has figured out why British humor is better than American humor, but I’m happy just to sit back and enjoy it.

I don’t dislike American humour/comedy, but I’ll always love the classic British material.

Ah yes, you can’t beat Monty Python. I think British humour is drier than American. People like Noel Coward and Julian Clary make me laugh.
